The Sparrow — Maomao and Her Grandpa is 
an ongoing children’s book project 
based on a childhood memory of rescuing a sparrow during summer break. 
It explores the relationship between a child and her grandfather, 
as well as their connection to a wild animal. 


The work combines collage with digital drawing.
